Well, its snowing! Winter is here! And after the past few winters being international Im enjoying the holiday season in north america.
Ive been living in Canada, still working at Nadia's Fashion Shop. (Where I worked on Mackinaw Island but they move up for their christmas sale november and december in sault ste. marie, MI) I am staying with my boss's family - Ive gotten so close to dave, his wife, and daughters. We all go to their church on sundays. Ive definently been adopted as a "daughter" in their home. I am so blessed! I love my job because I enjoy working with people and I love aspects of the fashion world, it sparks my creativity and love for beauty. Its not the "main" thing I want to pursue with my time but Ive sure been blessed through this as a means of earning some money after my Nepal trip. Im convinced that we are always first called to intimacy with Jesus, and second - to love the people right in front of us. We dont need a title or "ministry" for it to be God's work. I know for these weeks I am called here, called to this family, called to love each person I encounter.
I am so looking forward to OneThing conference and catching up with my friends there! I also cant wait to be with my family for Christmas! (Thanksgiving was wonderful as I drove downstate to reconnect with all of them.) I am still presently seeking God's direction for 2010 and hearing so much, its so exciting. I cant speak of it yet but Ill ask my dear readers to continue to lift that up in prayer, thanks.
